Tovmas Terzyan 1840-1909, a prominent Western Armenian poet, playwright, aesthetician, and translator of the second half of the 19th century, raised future equally renowned national literary, educational, and cultural figures during several decades of fruitful pedagogical activity. One of them was the talented writer, publicist, editor, and educator Yeghia Temirchipashyan 1851-1908, who always remembered and spoke about his beloved teacher with the greatest reverence.
